First aid
First aid stations were incorporated on the front lines. They were located in the trenches, the people that were in the first aid team bore red crosses, to tell the opposing side that they were the medical team and not to shoot them in the case that they would have to go out into no mans land. They would be able to treat the lighter wounds and provide temporary relief for the soldiers with heavier wounds until they were taken out of the war and sent to a hospital.
